Following the referendum, which was held on April 16, 2017, Turkish citizens supported a package of constitutional changes.

According to the results of the calculation of 99.9 percent of the ballots, 51.41 percent of the voters (25,156,860 people) voted "For", 48.59% of voters (23,777,014 people) - "Against" amendments to the basic law, suggesting transition to the presidential system Board.

Turnout in the referendum in Turkey was 85.46%.

According to the counting of the bulletins of citizens living abroad, 59.09% of voters supported the amendments, 40.91% opposed it
