A contract was signed between Space X and Türksat companies, according to which Turkish telecommunications satellites will launch a Falcon 9 rocket into near-Earth orbit. The launch of two satellites is planned for 2021.

This was announced by the Minister of Sport and Communications Ahmet Arslan on the first day of the Global SatShow exhibition, at which innovative space and communication technologies will be presented. According to him, the launch vehicle will put two telecommunication satellites into the Earth's orbit, Turksat 5A and Turksat 5B. Under the contract, the company Space X under the leadership of Ilona Mask is a subcontractor of works, and the contractor will be the concern Airbus. Arslan hopes for a successful launch in 2021.

Satellites have high hopes. If they are in orbit, Türksat will be able to claim the leadership role in telecommunications in Turkey and the surrounding countries. In this case, the satellites themselves are a matter of particular pride for the country. Their parts were manufactured mainly in Turkey, and Turkish engineers participated in the creation of the technology.
